Street Art: Daniel Mac Lloyd

Street artist Daniel Mac Lloyd is originally from Luxembourg, and he paints imagery that inspires him from nature and to add calm to the chaos of the world, finding beauty in the small and over-looked parts of life. The artist was inspired at an early age and created work in his local skatepark. He has painted all over the world, and I located a couple of paintings in London. Both feature birds, which is a favourite subject of the artist.

I've been going through my street art photographs recently and would like to share some artwork that I captured in London over the past year from street artist 5kyh1gh (SkyHigh), SMO Crew. The artist has a range of styles from animals (especially birds) to the "Smile More Often" text. I captured some of these photographs in Kingston and some in east London.

Fat Cap Sprays in 2024-2025

I captured several new street art from Fat Cap Sprays over the past few months. Fat Cap Sprays paints cartoon characters using a technique to make the artwork appear to be neon and glowing, which is made with several layers of paint to create the "glow" effect on top of a black background.

Newest Street Art by AbrahamO in East London

One street artist that I enjoy seeing new work from is Abraham.O, an artist who is originally from El Salvador. He paints realistic portraits, and these are often in greyscale, though sometimes a bit of colour is addd. Most recently, he has been experimenting with a pink dot in his work. The people in the portraits often tell a story through the artwork. The most recent work was photographed in east London, though he has also painted in Penge.

Street Art by Otto Schade in East London and Hoxton

Otto Schade is a London-based street artist who has been painting on London's streets for many years now, and toward the end of last year, I discovered more of his work across the Hoxton area. The artist is known for two distinct styles of work: th 'ribbon' style where he paints images using a series of 'ribbons', normall in an orange or yellow colour. The other style is a silhouette style where he features on stencils of social and economical issues.

The above was taken on Brick Lane outside the tourist shop where the artist always refreshes his work.

I discovered a paste-up on one wall somewhere in east London.

This figure of a woman was near Old Street, and the bottom several photographs were taken around Hoxton and Shoreditch.

Paddington Bear Street Art at Waterloo

One of London's most famous residents, Paddington Bear, has had a street art mural painted at Waterloo / South Bank in his honor. The mural appeared at the end of last year in time for the "Paddington 3" movie, and I photographed the artwork early this spring where it was getting a lot of attention from many people who were passing by. The street art is the work of Peruvian artist Gisella Stapleton, which is fitting considering that the character of Paddington Bear is originally from Peru.

Paddington is an ambassador for inclusion, and the mural has the words: "Mrs. Brown says that in London everyone is different and that means everyone can fit in."

The mural can be seen at Sutton Walk near the arches underneath the train line from Waterloo Station to South Bank.

Recent Street Art by Hunto 2025

Hunto is a street artist from Italy who resides in London, and his work is influenced by Cubism art styles showing human emotions, relationships, and erotic themes. Influenced by Picasso, his work uses bright colours and defined shapes with the humans connecting in some way. I have covered his work several times on this blog. Since I last posted his work, more has cropped up across east London for your viewing over the several months.

Bird Street Art by Aspire in London

Street artist Aspire (A51) is known for painting different birds around London's walls. The artist tries to blend in features of the wall and surroundings with the artwork and incorporates a series of pixelated colours shown in the larger part of the work. The artist has been painting on London's walls for many years now, and I enjoy the birds as they bring a slice of nature to the city.

aspire2024

The above piece is one of my favourites as it uses the foliage from the bushes along the wall to create the appearance of a bird sitting on a branch.

aspire2024

Some of the other work tends to incorporate conservation and climate into the artwork, such as the series with a bird sitting on a lit matchstick.

aspire2024

And a bird sitting on a plastic bottle of water.

The below artwork was created many years ago in Camden and also seems to bring up environmental concerns with a "reduced" shop tag seeming to discuss the value of nature.

Street Art: Yorgos u.said.it

Street artist Yorgos (u.said.it) has been painting across London for the past couple of years, and the artist is based in London but grew up in Germany and Greece. The style is illustrative and features the artist's characters in abstract illustrations. The figures in the artist's work are emotive with interactions between them, and the concept is one of social and emotion as the figures seem to interact.

Street Art: Renatto Ribeiro and Dave Plants, Part 2

In December of 2023, a collaboration street art mural was painted and arranged by floral designer Renatto Ribeiro and Dave Plants. The street art is still located in its place on Brick Lane in London, but I noticed that for 2025, it had a new makeover. The portrait of the girl is the same, but the dried branches look to have been added to, and the festive decorations are new with the green and cold.
