The Worshipful Company of Gunmakers is located on Commercial Road, just outside the city of London and on the same stretch of road that eventually becomes Whitechapel Road. It is 73rd of the 110 livery companies of the City of London and started in 1637. The purpose of the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers is to test guns for safety. Since 1675, they have been located at "The Proof House" on the Commercial Road location. In addition to testing firearms, the company also investigate all issues involving them. They are also responsible for proofing all of the safe firearms and are stamped with a pass; if the firearms pass the proof, they cannot be sold in the UK.
