Bridgnorth Castle is located in the town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire. The site has had a castle on it from the early 1100s, and it was ruined during the Civil War. The town was on the side of Parliament (Charles I), and it was attacked in 1646 and demolished. The remaining structure has evidence of cannon ball fire.
The castle grounds are high on the hill in the upper town of Bridgnorth. They include flower beds and gardens with scarecrows and a bandstand. Next to the castle is a more modern church building, and next to it are views over the valley.
The castle gardens or park land is a very pleasant place to enjoy.
