Catch-Me-Who-Can Locomotive Art Trail in Bridgnorth, Shropshire

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

When I was in Bridgnorth in Shropshire at the end of August, I discovered a few painted sculptures of locomotives around the town, and I photographed a few of these. The sculptures are of a locomotive called "Catch-Me-Who-Can", which was designed locally by a mining engineer named Trevithick. There were several sculptures placed in 2020 of this locomotive around the town over a two mile walk. Although not all of the sculptures are in place, several of them remain both in the lower town and the upper town, but I could not locate a map. When the trail was launched and until the end of summer last year, there seemed to be thirteen sculptures in total.

The sculptures were displayed by the community for the town for heritage appreciation.
