From Thursday evening until Saturday late, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square came to life with a spaced-theme art installation, "Piccadilly Unplugged - Art After Dark". This event is curated by Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stpanian, founder of NASA International Space Orchestra. The art installation contains a few works as well as telescopes located in various places and pointed at the moon for people to enjoy in this year of the planetary parade and a partial solar eclipse.
Piccadilly Circus is the location of one of the installations, expanding like foam around the famous Eros statue; they are actually inflatible "space rocks" that have been to the moon and back. Leicester Square is also the location of "Cats", inspired by Schrodinger's quantum physics paradox.
The "Space Rocks" was meant to have a soundscape, but this must have been drowned out with the noise and buskers.
"Cats" attracted a large crowd of people.
Another installation was a phone box set up so people could call the moon.
Th "Cabinet of Curiousities" provided items and sculptures made of clay.
I also had a quick look at one of the telescopes.
