One of my friends also celebrates a June birthday, so we went along to J.Sheekey, a fish and seafood restaurant in Covent Garden. This restaurant has been in operation since Victorian times. It started operation in 1896 after permission from the prime minister granted the stallholder to sell fish to people visiting the theatre. The restaurant is popular with actors and others looking for a good meal, and it serves more than seafood. I do not eat seafood, but they have other options including meat and vegetarian.

We received some delicious truffles filled with caramel for our birthdays.

The restaurant is located next to theatres at St. Martin's Court.

We had a couple of cocktails and wine to start.

My friend had fish for her main and a fish starter.

I had the chicken, which was delicious.

This was followed by a strawberry Eton Mess dessert.

The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals.
