A Morning at Breamore House, Hampshire

Breamore House, located in Hampshire at the edge of the New Forest national park and just north of Fordingbridge, is an Elizabethan manor home. The owners live in the house but open it on certain days from the spring until autumn, and visitors can admire the paintings and learn about the history of the house. I visited it a week ago with a friend. The house had some sad stories to tell and did transfer ownership. It has also been used in filming.

I arrived early and before the tour. I enjoyed a slice of cake and a drink as "breakfast". The cafe does get busy, but I arrived early as the first person.

Photography was not permitted inside the house, but I got several photographs outside and also in the gardens.

This is a fantastic property, and the guide for the group was knowledgeable about the history and artwork and pointed out some of the more interesting pieces. In addition to the guided house tours, visitors also can visit the museum and an ancient maze.
