A few years ago, I used to live near Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, southwest England. In 2008, Weston-super-Mare's pier was destroyed by fire. A new pier was constructed and opened late in 2010. The picture below is of the new pier, taken on one of the first sunny spring days of the year.
